Meet Alisha
I believe movement should help you feel more capable in everyday life.
My goal has never been to simply lead someone through a workout. It's to help people better understand their bodies, move with confidence, and build strength that supports the life they live outside the studio. Every session is thoughtfully designed around you because no two bodies or seasons of life are exactly the same.
My Pilates journey didn't begin in a luxury studio. It began in a small, no-frills space where I experienced firsthand the power of thoughtful, individualized instruction.
Not long after discovering Pilates, I lost my father unexpectedly. That season of life changed the way I viewed health and deepened my appreciation for caring for the body as a whole. For me, it was no longer just about performance - it became about longevity, mental health, and quality of life.
Soon after, an opportunity to pursue comprehensive Pilates training presented itself. I hadn't been searching for a new career, but after losing my father, I couldn't ignore the feeling that life was simply too short to spend it disconnected from work that truly mattered to me. I trusted my intuition, took the leap, and committed to studying the Pilates method in depth.
Today, one of the most meaningful parts of that decision is teaching alongside Emilie Bromley, knowing we share the same training lineage under Matthew Comer. It's a full-circle reminder that some of the best decisions begin by trusting your intuition.
My Education
600+ Hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification — Matthew Comer
Apprenticeship — Beyond Motion with Rick & Amy Lademann
Currently teaching alongside — Emilie Bromley
Certified Barre Instructor
I work with clients of all ages and abilities- from beginners and active older adults to athletes and those recovering from orthopedic injuries or joint replacements.
Growing up as a competitive cheerleader and track athlete, movement was always part of my life. After athletics, I explored everything from bootcamp classes to barre, but Pilates was the first practice that challenged me while teaching me to truly understand my body.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Whether you're new to Pilates or returning to your practice, I hope you found something here that resonated with you. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged, and confident in your movement while building a practice that enhances your life well beyond the studio.
To me, that's what SoWell means- moving well, living well, and caring for yourself in a way that feels both intentional and sustainable.
I'd be honored to be a part of your Pilates journey and look forward to welcoming you into the studio.
Here’s to living well,
